Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has said that, the Presidential Candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will not be President of Nigeria, saying that, he will be opposed in the Southeast and no Igbo will campaign or support his candidature.
This was also as Ohanaeze said the outcome of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC’s) convention will determine whether the Southeast will participate or boycott the 2023 general elections.
Secretary-General Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro stated this in Kaduna on Sunday, while addressing members of the Igbo community.
Isiguzoro condemned the PDP Presidential primaries that produced former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, describing it as “an erratic and corrupt process that was overseen by the Northerners against the southern part of the country.”
According to him, “It is amusing that PDP is now a Political party for the Northern region, with Dr. Iyocha Ayu as PDP chair, Walid Jubril as BOT Chair and Atiku Abubakar as 2023 PDP Presidential candidate all coming from Northern Nigeria. This shows that Igbo should boycott 2023 Presidential election as a result of the protest in response to the grand conspiracy against Ndigbo, PDP has fulfilled her threats to sideline Igbo in 2023 and we will carefully answer back to them”.
“Another Northerner, senator David Mark supervised the process that schemed out Igbo from PDP which has wrecked Igbos ahead of the 2023 election, the consequences of the 2022 PDP convention will be a discontinuity of milking of Igbo votes by a party that butchered the Igbo’s dream”.
