APC primaries: How Sen. Lidani won Gombe south senatorial ticket

Former Senator representing Gombe south senatorial seat in National Assembly Sen. Joshua Lidani at the weekend won primary election to clinched Gombe south senatorial ticket under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Announcing the result at Government lodge in Billiri, the returning officer Mr. Sabo Sani said Sen. Joshua Lidani scored 90 votes to defeat his closest rival Mr. Bilyaminu Babadidi who scored 70 votes.

Our correspondent reports that chaos erupted at the venue after declaring  Sen. Lidani winner as Ballot paper was not counted before announcing the result which triggered chaos.
