Benue State Governor Ortom has accused the federal government of being an accomplice in the high wave of kidnapping in the country.
This is even as he frowned at the manner suspected herdsmen abducted Prelate of Methodist Church in Abia, Samuel Kanu-Uche and a whooping sum of 100 million was paid as ransom.
Governor Ortom who said this Thursday while swearing-in three High Court Judges said Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gun powder and soldiers are busy going after IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu.
“Today, our country is sitting on a keg of gun powder because our leaders have refused to obey the rule of law. The Federal Government remains an accomplice and complacent in security affairs of the country. Fulanis continue to carry arms without restrictions. FG should live up to its responsibility in the area of security. FG should take decisive steps to nip insecurity in the bud. It is a shame and disgrace.
The Governor also, stressed for complete autonomy of the Judiciary, maintaining that all entitlements due to the Judiciary should go directly to them.
