Reports had it that crisis started when some youth from the Lunguda militia allegedly attacked two young boys from Waja community who were working within their their family residence at a Mallam Isah village in the area.
An impeccable source from the area who pleaded anonymity told this reporter in an mobile interview Monday that the attack ignited tension from their people as they became furious and uncontrollable when the injured and the slain boys were brought to town.
“They used guns to shoot at them killing one and injuring one and when they brought the corpse, it created tension among our people.
“ The situation degenerated into serious crisis between the two groups leading to death of many and burning of many houses in Boshokiri Town.”
Confirming the situation, spokesman of the Adamawa state police command, Sp Suleiman Njuroje said it was true there was communal clash between some communities.
