Niger govt receives white paper report on Mazakuka attack

Niger State Government received the report of the White Paper Committee on the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the case of killings, injury and abduction in Mazakuka, Kulho, Adogon Mallam, and Environs in Mashegu Local Government Area of the state for final vetting.

Chairman of the White Paper Committee, Dr Jonathan Wasa, stated this at a press briefing in Government House, Minna after submitting the report of the Committee that brainstormed fir six weeks.

Dr. Wasa said the setting up of the two committees was among his committee’s recommendations after they had  thoroughly gone through the report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the government on compensation and peace/reconciliation.

He said “the White Paper Committee has agreed with the findings of the Commission of Inquiry, and recommended that two committees be set up to compensate victims and to reconcile the people”.
