..As PDP Governors lauds Fintiri’s giant strides @ 55

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has hailed the Governor of Adamawa State, Hon. Ahmadu Fintiri, describing him as an outstanding statesman, very resourceful administrator and distinguished legislator who remains committed to the unity, wellbeing and development of the nation.
Similarly, the PDP Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) had thumbed up Fintiri over his giant strides, which they said, have transformed the landscape of Adamawa and reengineered its economy through people-oriented projects in housing, water provision, education and teachers’ welfare reforms.
The accolades from the party and its elected Governors came on the occasion of the 55th birthday anniversary of the Adamawa State Governor.
The PDP, in a statement yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, said that it has noted with pride, Governor Fintiri’s extraordinary commitment to duty as the Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly and now Governor of the State.
The expressed it’s happiness that the Governor has continued to ensure peaceful and harmonious co-existence, economic empowerment of citizens as well as human capital and land mark infrastructural development across critical sectors in the State.
According to the PDP statement, “Governor Fintiri is an outstanding statesman, very resourceful administrator and distinguished legislator who remains committed to the unity, wellbeing and development of our nation.
“Our Party notes with pride Governor Fintiri’s extraordinary commitment to duty as the Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly and now Governor of the State.
“He continues to ensure peaceful and harmonious co-existence, economic empowerment of citizens as well as human capital and land mark infrastructural development across critical sectors in the State as articulated in the manifesto of the PDP.
“The PDP recognizes his excellent delivery of service particularly in legacy infrastructural development; notably the construction of the Yola Flyover in Adamawa State, the first ever in the entire North East region of our country. “No wonder the Federal Government recently acknowledged this pioneering feat among others by conferring on him the Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service.
“Governor Fintiri remains a loyal Partyman and our Party appreciates his role as the Chairman of the 2021 PDP National Convention that midwifed the current National Working Committee of the Party.
“This set in motion our Party’s mission to Rescue, Rebuild and Redirect our nation from the misrule of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The PDP celebrates this patriotic Nigerian and prays to God to bless him with many more years in good health as he continues to provide service to our fatherland and humanity”, the main opposition party said.
The PDP Governors’ Forum, in a statement said by its Director-General, Hon CID Maduabum, noted with elation that Governor Fintiri’s giant strides “have transformed the landscape of Adamawa and reengineered its economy through people-oriented projects in housing, water provision, education and teachers’ welfare reforms with massive employment, ICT, expansive roads and power infrastructure attracting investors in power generation, industry and agriculture”.
The PDP-GF added, “Also worthy of commendation is his impactful interventions in rural electrification, health provision and facility renewal, workers’ welfare, skill acquisition for youth and women empowerment, as well as security for lives and property.
“He has not only won awards but also the hearts of his people as their “Breath of Life Governor”, a dedicated public servant who has enshrined the essence of sustainable development and good governance as a legacy for others to follow.
“His recent award as “Best Governor in Nigeria on Infrastructure and Rural Development” at the 2022 Maiden Edition of Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS), by President Muhammadu Buhari equally attests to his resourcefulness and capacity.
“The Forum congratulates him on his re-emergence as the 2023 PDP Adamawa governorship candidate and appreciates his successful performance as the Chairman, 2021 PDP National Convention Committee and Deputy Chairman, Accreditation sub-committee at the 2022 Special National Convention.
“Along with his people home and abroad, we offer fervent prayers to the Almighty Allah to grant him more wisdom and grace, even as he records more achievements in the state.
“We assure him of our brotherly cooperation and solidarity, always”, the forum which has the Governor of Sokoto State, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as Chairman, said.
