Adamawa govt. presents N175.19b budget proposal

In an effort to boost sources of internally generated revenue,the Adamawa state government has engaged a professional consulting firm to revive and manage its abandoned Yola International hotel.

It said that untapped sources of IGR would be harnessed towards improvement of revenue in the state within the 2023 fiscal year directing all ministries, departments and agencies to use vote books for enhancing internal control mechanism and budget monitoring as budget officers will be posted to them forthwith.

Commissioner of finance and Budget,Ishaya John Dabari made the disclosure in Yola yesterday while briefing the media on the breakdown of the 2023 budget proposal, stressing that with the dwindling economic challenges facing the country, state governments need to think out of the box for survival.
