Jigawa APC inaugurates exco

After series of postponements, the Jigawa All Progressive Congress (APC), has finally elected its executives through a consensus agreement. The newly elected Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ado Kiri, called for unity amongst party members ahead if the 2015 general election.

The Chairman who made the call while speaking with newsmen after the inauguration of the elected officers of the party yesterday in Dutse said their emergence was a mark of a new dawn in the state politics.

Kiri, who was a former commissioner and local government chairman under the Alhaji Ibrahim Saminu Turaki regime, explained that his emergence as the chairman was an act of God as the party supporters unanimously voted for him unopposed.

The chairman pledged to carry all the members and supporters of the party along.

He said that he was sure of the victory of the party in the forthcoming general election in both the state and at the national level because of the unity among the supporters.

Others elected alongside Kiri include Alhaji Bala Mamsser, Vice Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Zakari, Secretary while Mrs Binta Shuaibu was elected as Woman leader and Alhaji Saidu Miga got the position of Publicity Secretary.
