At least six persons have been allegedly shot dead by security agencies and unspecified number of persons injured for allegedly attempting to snatch ballot boxes during the Governorship and State House of Assembly election in Benue State.
Our correspondent learnt that the 6 persons were shot at different locations when they stormed the polling units to snatch the ballot boxes for money bags politicians who are desperate to win the election.
An eye witness who pleaded anonymity, said one person was killed in Abagu, a community within Gboko and the other two(2) were also, shot at different polling units at NKST Primary School Gboko South while the others met their Waterloo in Hausa quarters.
When contacted the State Police Command Public Relations’Officer SP Catherine Anene said she is yet to be briefed about the incident.
