Kano State Governor-elect, Abba Yusuf felicitated with Muslims and people of Kano on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement by his spokesman, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa on Friday, Mr Yusuf also enjoined the residents of the state to sustain the lessons and moral training learnt during Ramadan.
He said Ramadan has come to an end with the sighting of the crescent for Shawwal, lessons of compassion, generosity, discipline, patriotism and peaceful co-existence it taught should be sustained by the citizens for a better society we all crave.
While congratulating Muslims for witnessing yet another Eid -Fitr, Mr Yusuf admonished people of Kano to pray for Allah’s guidance for the leadership at all levels especially as the new government takes over on 29 May, 2023.
He assured that better days are ahead of Kano people as the incoming government under his watch will create enabling policy environment for everyone to live in peace and harmony.
“He urged citizens to remain patriotic, peace-loving while praying for tranquility and prosperity of Kano and Nigeria at large.
“H.E. Abba Kabir Yusuf also cautioned against reckless driving and other unguarded salah celebrations with a view to ensure safety of all Kano residents”, the statement reads in parts.
