From Mustapha Adamu, Kano

Kano State Deputy Governor Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has called on people of the state to continue to be steadfast in prayers for the unity, peace and progress of Kano and Nigeria in general.
Gawuna, who gave the charge while felicitating with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-fitr and the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting, also pray that all their good deeds as well as supplications made to Almighty Allah (S.W.T) would be answered.
He urged them to maintain the lessons taught by the Holy Month of Ramadan of acts of charity,piety and peaceful-coexistence and replicate it in their daily living.
“Ramadan was a month of unlimited blessings,offerings and rewards for muslims to avail;
it was also a time to devote oneself in prayer and establish connection with Allah (S.W.T).
“While we appreciate your continued support to the State Government, may this joyful occasion of the Eid-el-fitr brings good health,happiness and prosperity to you,” Gawuna was quoted as saying in a statement by Hassan Musa Fagge, his Chief Press Secretary in Kano yesterday.
