Niger community laments 4 years land dispute

Eppa Community in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State has appealed to Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello and other authorities to intervene in the dispute between Eti Sheshi and Eppa Communities that have claimed three lives.
They made the appeal during an interview with newsmen in Minna, saying that the last victim Saidu Alhassan was killed last Saturday over the four years continuous land crisis.
They added that despite several attempts and efforts to reach the Deputy Governor Alhaji Muhammad Ketso for intervention have been frustrated by his aides and friends.
It was reliably gathered that the district head of Mokwa, Ndalele Mokwa, Muhammadu Shaba, was stabbed severally and his cars and palace vandalized by Eti Sheshi youths.
According to sources, Eti Sheshi have allegedly continued to threaten the lives of others, attacking and destroying properties of the people of Eppa community.
An Indigene of the Eppa Community, Abubakar Ndatsu Alhassan and Salihu Ishaq Eppa lamented that several youths in Eti Sheshi have been arrested by the State Commissioner of Police, pointing out that unidentified politicians have been bailing the youths.
They further said that despite the recent intervention of the Council Chairman, Abdullahi Jibrin Muregi, the situation is deteriorating, leading to vandalization of Mokwa General Hospital and Several Houses of the People of Eppa Community who are the original land owners of the disputed area destroyed.
