Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stalwart in Gombe state and Deputy chairman Kumbiya-kumbiya ward, Auwal Usman Goni has supported Hon. Mukthar Betara for stepping down for Tajudden Abbas for speakership of the 10th House of representatives.
He made the disclosure yesterday in an interview with Journalists which according to him, Betara has proved maturity by paving way for rancor free election of the speakership, adding that politicians should emulate his stlye of leadership.
“Although being a member of the opposition party, I decided to support Betara because he is from the north east and the north east already had the Vice-president which is number two in government.”
He added that the emergence of Akpabio and Abbas as Senate President and Speaker of the House of representatives shows fairness in government.
