NPC updates Jigawa journalists on 2023 Census exercise

The National Population Commission (NPC), organized a one day breakfast meeting for media executives in Jigawa state on the 2023 population and housing census.
Speaking during the meeting, the state Director National Population Commission in Jigawa Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Iro, explained that, the objectives of the meeting was to update the media executives on the status of preparations for the 2023 census and the next steps forward in the light of the postponement.
The director maintained that, the process and systems put in place for the census are therefore being currently reviewed to determine what needs to be done to ensure that the preparation do not become obsolete for the exercise.
According to him, the commission had carried out massive advocacy and publicity for 2023 census at national and state levels.
