Date:

From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

The Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) yesterday called on security agencies working to contain the activities of the dreaded Boko Haram sect to scale up surveillance activities.

Chairman of the forum and Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu also urged them to re-strategize their operations to end the scourge of what he described as senseless killing of defenseless citizens.

Governor Aliyu made the call in his reaction to Sunday’s explosion which killed several persons at a relaxation point in Sabon Gari area of Kano in Kano state.
