Sleeping police man whisked away

Date:

A police officer attached to the National Conference secretariat was arrested allegedly for sleeping on duty.

The unidentified officer, who was sitting behind the Chairman of the Conference, was caught sleeping on camera to the embarrassment of his senior collegues and the police authority, who quickly ordered that he be taken away for questioning.

The sleeping officer was taken away by two senior officers who looked embarrassed by the situation and indeed the disgrace the act must have caused the security services.

Our Correspondent observed that several minutes after he was whisked away, the officers neither returned nor did they allow him to return to his duty post. Some curious reporters who went in search of the sleeping police man were unable to locate him.

Besides, no officer was willing to volunteer comments on whatever may have become of the sleeping officer nor what may have been done or will be done to him subsequently.

However, sources disclsed that the two police officers, who arrested the sleeping cop, had taken him for questioning at the Security Center.

After pictures of sleeping delegates flooded the social media, thus raising concerns on the seriousness of members of the Conference, majority of delegates and indeed support staff are careful not to slumber or sleep while on the floor.
