In continuation of his administration’s urban renewal drive, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has flagged off the construction of the Mubi Roundabout flyover in Yola, the Adamawa state capital.
The overhead bridge is the third in series being constructed since the inception of Governor Fintiri’s administration in 2019.
While officially flagging off the new inter-change flyover at the Weekend, Fintiri said, the project will cost ₦9,264,498,755.33K, stressing that the project is awarded to Messes Triacta Nigeria Limited as Lot 1 with a completion period of 18 months.
He expressed the commitment of his administration to continue to prioritise urban and rural development in the state.
In his address at the ceremony, Commissioner of Works, Adamu Atiku Abubakar commended Fintiri for his personal zeal in the development of the state.
But some political pundits in the state opined that, construction of new housing quarters for the civil servants especially teachers should have been more better than the flyover projects which according to them, have little or no tangible impact on the lives of the people.
