Benue Gov. lauds complementary role of hunters

Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has lauded the effort of Nigeria Hunters and Forest Services, NHFS, for their complementary role in ensuring security of the State.
Governor Alia expressed confidence that the four day workshop in Makurdi on capacity training and discipline undertaken by operatives of the NHFS will no doubt impact the state positively.
He also, commended the operatives for their sacrifice and resilience, stressing that the capacity training by men of the 72 Special Forces Battalion have sharpen their skills in the task ahead, urging them to complement the efforts of other Security agencies in crime fighting and above all, respect human rights of law abiding citizens.
He reiterated that since May 29, this year, relative peace has returned to Benue state, saying “we can never count on this achievements without your efforts, am so elated to hear some more, that today again you were at work as usual, but please don’t relent until hundred percent peace returns to the state.”
Governor Alia who further said, the state is the most hospitable in Nigeria, observed that Benue people are the most loving people in Nigeria,
Hear him,”we love to feed people and we want those who are looking for food elsewhere to come to Benue and get very cheap quality food, because we are the food basket of the nation, we want investors to come in and put their money on our land and the products, they will get, we want our homes, families, siblings to go to their homes and find it easy to sleep with their eyes closed, we want our great farmers to go to farm very willingly and gladly to do what they know how to do best in the state for the produce and food security of the nation”.
