Normalcy has gradually return to Mubi Town in Adamawa state after Sunday night bomb blast which killed about 16 people, while scores of others are receiving medical attention in hospitals.
Attention has now been shifted to the hospitals where the dead and injured are kept, even though the hospitals have been cordoned by the military, restricting entrance into such hospitals, except its staffers.
Governor Murtala Nyako has condemned the bomb blast in its equivocal terms, describing the act as in human treatment to man.
“The government and people of Adamawa state feel very disturbed and saddened over the incident”, Nyako noted with regret.
The Governor, who spoke through his Director of Press and publication, Mr. Ahmed Sajoh called for fervent prayers for God’s quick intervention in what he termed as the dastardly acts of the insurgency.
He announced that all the survivors in hospitals are to be taken care of by the government.
Governor Nyako announced that already an assessment team has been dispatched to Mubi to evaluate the extent of damage to lives and property.
In the meantime, the hospitals treating the injured have remained hospital no-go areas as stern looking soldiers man their gates to prevent intruders.
