Gov Sani launches 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day emblem

Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani yesterday launched the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem and Appeal Fund.
The Governor also donated the sum of N5m to the state Chapter of the Nigerian Legion where he also called on corporate organizations, and individuals to donate generously to support the families of the fallen heroes.
Gov. Sani said, that since the colonial era armed forces have been involved in serving the people were many officers have paid an ultimate price for protecting the peace of the country.
“Their act of gallantry will be remembered always while they are spread around battling bandits, insurgents, and other criminal elements,” he said.
He explains that the armed forces have been recording success despite the huge challenges they are faced with.
“Our departed heroes left behind wives and children that must be taken care of, govt and corporate entities must support the families of the fallen heroes,” he said.
Gov Sani also prayed for the repose of those things who lost their lives in the unfortunate Tudun Biri incident
He further calls on all to commit to the national pledge to serve Nigeria with their strength and defend her unity.
In his remarks, Major Danjuma Baren rtd, Ag Chairman Nigerian Legion, Kaduna State Chapter has appealed to the Kaduna State Government to provide the state chapter of the Nigerian Legion seeks government support to secure official vehicles to enable the association to discharge its responsibilities effectively.
