The Industrial Training Fund (ITF), said it trained two hundred and seventy youth on server security and coding to address the negative activities of scammers in Kaduna State.
The Area Manager ITF Kaduna Office, Engineer Garba Hassan stated this during an interactive forum with stakeholders with the theme “artificial intelligence and the future of human resource development in Nigeria” in Kaduna.
He explained to the gathering, that the fund financed the training of the two hundred and seventy youth for six months, their transportation allowance, and the start-up packs they received during their graduation.
“ If those youth who were trained on server security and equipped with start-up packs utilized it positively, Kaduna State would not be safe for scammers and criminals”. He said.
Engineer Garba Hassan said within the year under review, the Kaduna Area office of ITF had trained seven thousand youth in tailoring, fashion design, leather work, beauty care and cosmetology, graphic design and photography, and solar installation among others.
He thanked all their partners for always being there and also assured them that his doors for partnership are always open for human capital and economic development.
In a paper presentation, a part-time lecturer at Kaduna State University, Mallam Umar Faruk said companies were adopting artificial intelligence because it helps them to improve efficiency and productivity as well.
“ Artificial technology can automate tedious, repetitive, and time-consuming tasks that were previously done manually,” he added.
