Niger govt Receives Scholarship Cheque for Public School Students

Niger state government has received a cheque of over N9 million from Thinklab group for the provision of scholarships 1,530 final year students across public secondary schools for their JAMB/UTME /NECO and WAEC in the state.
Governor Umar Mohammed Bago received the cheque from the chairman of Thinklab group, Doctor Sa’id Kori in government house Minna.
He said the state is determined and committed to the growth and development of Niger state.
Governor Bago reaffirmed that his administration is determined to changing the land scale of the educational sector in the state, hence applauded Thinklab group for its Cooperate Social Responsibility towards empowering the youth to enhanced peace, stability and progress in the state.
Earlier the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Thinklab group, Doctor Sa’id Kori said the one thousand five hundred and thirty beneficiaries where identified as the 5 best students from the 3,006 public secondary schools to ensure the most deserving and talented individuals are given the opportunity to further their education and pursue their dreams.
Doctor Kori also disclosed that out of the recipients Thinklab group will sponsor three hundred students for their full tuition fees upon gaining admission to study specific courses at the state owned universities.
He stressed that the additional support underscores importance of education and the potential of young scholars to drive positive change in the society.
