The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested a Tiktok skit maker, Ramlat popularly known as “Princess” over a viral video she posted on her Tiktok account allegedly claiming to be a lesbian.
This development, it was gathered followed an outrage among social media users, who called for her arrest.
Recall that a local online newspaper, Daily News 24 had reported that the video, which Ramlat originally posted on her Tiktok account was shared widely by netizens on other social networks.
Also, in the controversial post, the Tiktoker was shown saying that any man who wanted to marry her must agree to allow her marry her own “wife” before she could agree to the man’s proposal.
“Any man who wants to marry me should know that I must marry my own wife otherwise, I won’t accept him.
“Lesbianism is a beautiful act that I can’t do without,” she had said.
However, reports have it that Ramlat, a Ghanaian, who originally resided in Taraba state, was arrested in Kano by operatives of the state’s Hisbah Board.
In an interview with the Hisbah officials, Ramlat said she came to Kano to visit her elder sister who lives in Gaida area of the state, more than a month ago.
The Tiktoker also admitted to making and posting the lesbianism comment video on her social media accounts.
“Yes, I was the one who did the video and posted it. In the video, I said any man who wants to marry me must allow me to also marry my own wife, otherwise I won’t agree to the marriage,” she said.
The arrest of Ms Ramlat came barely two days after another popular Tiktoker, Murja Kunya was arrested by the Hisbah board and charged to court, where she was remanded in prison.
Recall that Hisbah had last week arrested and charged Mrs. Kunya to court after receiving complaints of immoral acts from residents of the area she is residing in Kano.
