A non governmental Organization known as Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria ( PLANE) has urged media practitioners and Civil Society Organization (CSOs) to develop more synergy for education service delivery in Jigawa state.
The call was made by the State Team Leader of PLANE Mustapha B. Ahmad who was represented by State Reform Facilitator Abubakar Nashabaru during a one day brief session for media and Civil Society Organization on Thursday in Dutse.
The state team leader who said, media and CSOs roles are critical in any sectors of life added that this can only be achieved if there is a good rapport between media and CSOs.
He said, CSOs can advocate for the need of communities while media on the other side can promote transparency and hold policy makers accountable.
According to him, their is a lot of challenges in educational sectors that need to be addressed in Jigawa such as high rate of out of schools children, insufficient infrastructures as well as shortage of teachers across the schools in the state.
