The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the FCT, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has begun the construction of 2.5 kilometer Waru community rood.
Maikalangu, who made this known while addressing the gathering during the ground break ceremony at Waru community on Friday, pointing out that the drainages / culverts would be constructed alongside the road.
He said his administration would remain committed to provide access roads for the people of the Area Council so as to boost socio-economic growth.
He also pointed out that his leadership had embark on several roads project in some communities, noting that the most expensive work in AMAC was roads construction.
He, therefore, appealed to the residents of Waru community to deem it necessary to cooperate with the contractors in order to carryout good road network.
AMAC chairman employed the youths of Waru community to be the supervisors of the road projects, and urged them to support his administration.
On their separate responses, the District Head of Waru community and the Village Head of the community thanked the chairman for giving attention to Waru road project.
