The Otunba of Yoruba Community in the FCT, Dr. Chief Wasiu Tunwase, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to redouble his efforts to combat against insurgents and other crimes masterminded by the people in the country.
Tunwase, who made this call while speaking with Peoples Daily Correspondent on the State of the nation on Monday in his residence in Zuba, also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to expedite action on the reduction of Price of Foodstuffs in Nigeria.
He further charged the President to provide basic necessities of life for Nigerians in order to alleviate their suffering, noting that Nigerians are suffering in silence in the society.
He then appealed to both Muslims and Christians to come together for the sake of peace and unity of the country, and warned them against religious bigotry.
He asked Nigerians to support Tinubu’s administration for the overall development of the country, calling on Nigerian leaders to always gear towards providing gains of democracy for their people.
Chief Tunwase tasked Yoruba to continue to live in peace with other tribes in the country, noting that Yoruba are peace-loving citizens.
