Blame Senator Aisha for Taraba APC crisis – Factional chairman

Date:

From Ayodele Samuel, Lagos

Factional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba state, Comrade Saleh Bin-Ahmad, yesterday blamed the current crisis rocking the party in the state on the activities of Senator Aisha Alhassan.

This is coming as he called on the party’s national leadership to intervene before the crisis gets out of hand.

Speaking  in a phone interview with this reporter, Bin-Ahmad blamed, warned that the party may be heading for electoral misfortune in 2015 if the Senator is not held in check.

“Aisha Alhassan is the major problem in the party; she is supposed to be the leader of the party being the highest political office holder from Taraba but she has taken side to fractionalize the party. She should be mother of all members of our great party, not seeing stakeholders who form the party as her enemies.

“She wants to take over the leadership of the party to ensure she emerges as the party candidate in 2015,” he alleged.

Bin-Ahmad however urged the new leadership of the APC under Chief John Odigie Oyegun  to call all the factions of the party in Taraba State for reconciliation. “It will be agreeable if the executive is shared equally among the two factions.

“If the party is serious about winning any election in Taraba state, it is easy to resolve. Call both party chairmen together and reconcile them so that they will work united to win election in the state. The people of Taraba are ready for change but they won’t get it if the party is not properly organized,” he warned.
