The personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Zamfara State Command has arrested a Kano-based 30 year old man, Muhammad Dauda Isma’il, in possession of a stolen car and a phone belonging to his close friend which were earlier declared missing.
Parading the suspect in Gusau Zamfara State capital, State Comandant of the NSCDC, Commandant Sani Mustapha, said one Alkasim Muhammad Kabir, an indigene of Kano and a victim of the alleged theft, had on the 12th December, 2024, reported a missing Mercedes-Benz C300 with registration no. DAL68HK Kano and two (2) phones (Samsung Galaxy A55 5G & IPhone 12).
‘’Prior to his arrest, tracking revealed a number of locations the culprit transit through before being displaced of the tracker and assumed lost, notably Dayi- Malumfashi- Futua in Katsina State enroute to Zamfara state from Kano state.
‘’Subject to the advert on social media and intelligent reports to the command, the command swiftly identified the situation and apprehended the suspect in Gusau on Sunday 15th December, 2024 along sokoto by-pass road in a restaurant.”
