The Federation of Ondo State Indigenes in Abuja (FEDOSIA) has expressed its condolences to the people and Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, over the passing of Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The Federation, in a condolence message by its President, Mr Dipo Akinsola, expressed shock at the death of Oluwatuyi, fondly called Tukana, who passed away on Saturday due to severe injuries sustained in an accident on December 15, 2024.
The statement said, “On behalf of all Ondo State indigenes in Abuja and environs, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, Governor Aiyedatiwa, and the citizens of Ondo State.
“Oluwatuyi’s dedication and contributions to the development of Ondo State, particularly his efforts in strengthening democracy, were exceptional.
“His previous roles as Chairman of Akure South Local Government and as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, along with his tenure as SSG, will not be forgotten.
“At FEDOSIA, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, associates and loved ones. We pray for strength to bear the loss of this great leader.
‘We recognize Oluwatuyi as a remarkable individual who made significant contributions to his family, community, and society,” the Federation emphasized.
Continuing, it said, “We join other Nigerians in praying for the repose of his soul”
It will be recalled that Oluwatuyi was first appointed as SSG in 2020 by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu. With his exceptional performance, he was reappointed by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa until his passing.
