The Gashaka Gumti National Park in Taraba State has received a significant boost from Africa Nature Investors (ANI), thanks to the support of the state government.

The Executive Director of ANI, Mr. Tunde Morakinyo, commended the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for his support, saying, “We appreciate the governor’s support, which has enabled us to add value to the progress of the state.”

Mr. Morakinyo, who presented a report of ANI’s activities to the governor at the Exco chamber, TY Danjuma House, Jalingo, highlighted the organization’s vision for the state. “Our vision is to ensure effective management of the Gashaka Gumti National Park, act as an engine for development of the state, and attract investors to the state through the park,” he explained.

Responding, Governor Agbu Kefas praised ANI’s efforts, saying, “We are committed to supporting initiatives that promote conservation and development in our state. We believe that the Gashaka Gumti National Park has the potential to be a major driver of economic growth and job creation.”

The governor assured ANI of his administration’s continued support, stating, “We will work closely with ANI to ensure that the park is effectively managed and that the benefits of conservation are shared equitably among our communities.”
