The city of Ibadan was awash with colour and cheer as the 2025 edition of the McEnies Children’s Day Celebration brought smiles, stories, and celebration to life.

Held at 12A Saka Agbaje Street, Aare Bodija, the event marked its second consecutive year and attracted more than 70 children and 40 adults — a notable rise in participation that points to its growing impact.

Organised by McEnies Global Events in collaboration with Perfect Clicks Signature, this year’s theme, “GIGGLES, GAMES & GREATNESS!”, resonated powerfully across the day’s festivities.

The event brimmed with infectious energy as children from diverse backgrounds engaged in games, activities, and inspirational sessions that highlighted their unique value and potential.

Speaking at the event, Dr Omolaraeni Olaosebikan, CEO of McEnies Global Events, emphasised the broader purpose of the gathering.

> “Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of these children reminds us why we do this. Every child deserves to feel special, to know their worth, and to dream big.”

Dr Olaosebikan expressed gratitude for the increasing support and reiterated her commitment to expanding the celebration in years to come, seeking more sponsors and partners to enrich future experiences.

Two distinguished guest speakers delivered keynote addresses that captured the spirit of the day. Dr Olayinka Abimbola Egbokhare of the University of Ibadan and Very Reverend Abiodun Felix Ogunbisi of the Immanuel College of Theology shared heartfelt messages with the children on the theme, “Greatness is in You.” Their words inspired many, encouraging the young audience to believe in their inherent potential.

Children from Tabitha Home Orphanage and Kent Home Ibadan added a moving touch with performances that celebrated inclusion, talent, and community spirit.

Corporate and individual sponsors played a vital role in the day’s success.

Fan Milk, a Danone subsidiary, provided dairy treats for the children, while World Lilies Events Place, chaired by Mr Abiodun Adediran Olatunji SAN, gave significant logistical support.

Other contributors included PG Security, Brain Center, Cake Zone Ibadan, Techrands online news platform, and McEnies Global Communications.

The joy was palpable among participants. Young Ezekiel Amolegbe from Tabitha Orphanage described the day as unforgettable.

“I enjoyed every bit of today — the games, the stories, and the friends I made. I can’t wait for next year’s celebration!”
