Baptist cleric tasks Christian youths on steadfast in faith, prayer towards career growth

The Minister in charge of the First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada, in Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami has advised christian youths to always be steadfast in faith and prayers towards attaining higher ground in their career.

In his message on the occasion,

Reverend Oyelami also stressed the need for them to always honour God and live in a way that brings glory to Him at all times.

He equally  admonished christian youths to equally develop keen interest in sharing the love of Jesus Christ towards ensuring higher ground.

“Honouring God, living in a way that brings glory to Him and building relationships with others, building trust, and sharing the love of Christ among other good virtues will engender higher ground for them.

“RAs are Ambassadors and Ambassador for Christ means representing Jesus and His teachings in everyday life, embodying His love, values, and principles and this involves: reflecting Christ’s character in ones endeavours hence the need for them to uphold all these important and positive virtues towards attaining higher ground in life “, the  Baptist Cleric stated.

Oyelami while emphasizing the need for them to always engage in positive ventures, urged government at all levels to give priority to youth empowerment programmes that would enable them contribute to national economic development.

Commenting on the theme of this year’s Royal Ambassadors(RA) of First Baptist Church’s 2025 Annual  Week themed: “Higher Ground”: the R A Director, Amazing Grace Baptist Association (AGBA), Ambassador Ayodeji Samuel, said this year’s theme was apt in view of the need for youths to shun illegal means of acquiring wealth in the society.

Ambassador Samuel therefore advised members of R A to remain focus and committed in the discharge of their duties to God and humanity towards attracting divine blessings in their endeavours.

Highpoints of the Church’s R A  Service were special parade and decoration of some promoted members.
