The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has broken his silence on the prolonged absence of the state’s Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Alkali emphasizing the importance of compassion and humanity in handling the situation.

Kefas stated this on Tuesday evening while interacting with Newsmen in Jalingo, explained that the Deputy Governor fell ill while serving the state faithfully and on official duty.

The Governor urged the citizens of Taraba State to show compassion and empathy towards the Deputy Governor, citing religious teachings that encourage caring for one another.

“Whether you are Christian, Muslim, or of another faith, one truth binds us all: God calls us to care for one another,” he said.

The Governor assured the public that the government has done everything required of it under the law, but emphasized that laws alone are not enough; morality and conscience must also guide their decisions.
