Halidu elected PDP Niger party chair

The Niger state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said Aliyu Mohammed Halidu emerged winner of it State Party election with 1,289 votes to defeat his rival Yahaya Abdullahi Ability who scored 1,260 votes.
The party Returning Officer, Alhaji Tanimu Turaki made the announcement after the conclusion of the PDP State Congress yesterday at the party Secretariat in Minna.
According to him, “Aliyu Mohammed Halidu having scored the highest votes of the contest is declared the winner for the chairmanship of the Niger state chapter of the PDP”.
Earlier, both candidates Yahaya Abdullahi Ability and Aliyu Mohammed Halidu had assured to accept the outcome of the election in good faith.
