10 political parties to participate in LG elections in Niger State

Ten political parties and 71 chairmanship candidates are to participate in the forthcoming November 1st 2025 Local Government election in Niger state.
The chairman, Niger State Independent Electoral Commission, NSIEC, Engr. Mohammed Jibrin Imam made the disclosure during an interaction with journalists yesterday in Minna.
He added that, 69 vice Chairmanship and a total of 654 councillorship candidates will participate in the election.
Engr. Jibrin Imam stated that all is set for the scheduled exercise considering the preparedness, noting that out of 15 stages almost 14 stages have been fulfilled including logistics provision.
He emphasized that the constitution would be followed without compromise to ensure peaceful conduct, assuring of free, fair, credible and acceptable poll.
He noted that over 10,000 ad-hoc staff have been recruited for the conduct of the exercise with their logistics to be adequately taken care of accordingly.
