Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has forwarded the names of 30 new commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
This was contained in a release signed by the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman.
He said this is in accordance with Section 192(2) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
He noted that the nominations were made after thorough consultations and are based on the nominees’ integrity, competence, and dedication to Niger State’s development.
The governor emphasised that the nominations demonstrate the administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, competence, and the realisation of the New Niger agenda through effective service delivery in all sectors.
The nominees will also need to undergo the required security clearance processes before their screening by the state assembly.
He congratulated the nominees and encouraged them to stay dedicated to the vision of transforming Niger State into a model of sustainable growth and responsible governance.
