The president of the Association of Muslims in Business and Trading (AMIBAT) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Hassan Olajide, has promised that the leadership of the association would assist the less privileged ones in the society.
Olajide made the pledge while speaking to Peoples Daily correspondent during the unveiling of the association in Gwagwalada, He noted that the leadership of the association would not hesitate to provide loan and grant to the members.
He said the purpose of establishing the association was to promote business development among the members, pointing out that the association was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
He further said the association was formed so as to update the islamic knowledge of Muslims, as well to share such knowledge among them in the society.
AMIBAT President, however, disclosed that plans are underway to erect a permanent secretariat for the association, adding that the leadership of the association is set to partner with the Federal Ministry of Trades and Industry as well as the Bank of Industry (BOI) for the benefit of the members.
Also speaking, the Chairman Organising Committee of AMIBAT, Engr. Ismail Temidayo, said that leadership of the association is ready to help the members financially for the sake of their businesses.
Temidayo expressed joy that the leadership of the association would always move towards supporting the orphans and widows, in order to make them to feel the impact of the society.
Meanwhile, the first lecture entitled: ‘’The Importance of Integrity in Business: Lesson from the Holy Prophet’’ was presented by Imam
Jamal Bakare of AUD, and the second lecture tagged: ‘’Building a Successful Business with Islamic Values: Principles and Practises’’ was presented by the former Supervisory Councillor for Education in Gwagwalada Area Council, Mallam Yahaya Ibrahim Girinya.
