Former Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajiya Amina Ebaiya, mother of the Kogi State lawmaker representing Lokoja I, Hon. Tijjani Shehu Bin Ebaiya.

The late Hajiya Amina Ebaiya, aged 86, was laid to rest on Wednesday amid prayers from family, friends, and political associates.

In a formal condolence message issued on Saturday, Aliyu offered her sympathies to the bereaved legislator and the entire Ebaiya family noting that the loss of a matriarch is profound.

The former Minister highlighted the significant role the late Hajiya Amina played in nurturing her children, particularly observing how her guidance helped shape the character and public service of the Honourable Member.

“May Allah grant Hajiya Amina Ebaiya eternal peace and a place in Jannah. May He also provide you and your family with strength, patience, and comfort as you mourn her passing and celebrate a life well-lived,” the statement read.

Aliyu further acknowledged Hon. Ebaiya’s dedicated service to the Lokoja I State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly. She remarked that his commitment to integrity and community development stands as a testament to his mother’s enduring legacy and values.

She encouraged the family to seek solace in their faith and the collective support of friends and well-wishers.

“During this period of grief, I hope you find solace in the company of family, friends, and your community. Their prayers and support are a reminder that love and compassion endure even in moments of loss. Please know that you and your family remain in my prayers, and may the soul of Hajiya Amina Ebaiya rest in perfect peace,” the statement added.
