A prominent philanthropist and politician, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna (Sardaunan Gombe), on Wednesday officially submitted his Letter of Intent to contest the Gombe State governorship seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
The submission was made at both the Ward and Local Government levels, in strict accordance with the party’s established procedures and democratic guidelines.
Speaking during a brief ceremony at the party’s state secretariat in Gombe, Dr. Gwamna emphasized that his decision to run was driven by a “New Vision for Continuity and Sustainability.”
He explained that this vision is anchored on consolidating the achievements of the current administration while introducing innovative policies and programs designed to ensure long-term development, inclusive growth, and improved welfare for all citizens.
“I am reaffirmed in my commitment to good governance, transparency, and people-oriented leadership.
“By the grace of God, my administration will prioritize peace, unity, and economic growth. We will focus on youth and women empowerment, as well as sustainable infrastructural advancement,” Gwamna stated.
He further called on party faithful, supporters, and the general public to rally behind his vision as the journey toward a more prosperous and sustainable Gombe State begins.
In his response, the Gombe State Chairman of the APC, Mr. Mohammed Dantata Ndus, wished Dr. Gwamna well in his aspirations.
He emphasized the necessity of unity among party members to ensure a “top-to-bottom” victory for the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
