Tumsah Rejects Undemocratic Endorsement of Rival Aspirant

A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Kashim Musa Tumsah, has rejected what he calls the undemocratic endorsement of a rival aspirant, warning that such a move could erode the party’s credibility and weaken internal cohesion.

In a statement issued shortly after obtaining his nomination form at the party’s secretariat, Tumsah expressed concern over the absence of broad-based consultation and consensus among stakeholders.

He maintained that inclusive engagement and due process are essential for preserving unity, equity, and fairness within the party.

Tumsah called on the national leadership of the APC in Abuja to ensure vigilance and strict neutrality throughout the primary process.

He cautioned against any attempt to manipulate the exercise in favor of any individual, stating that any perception of disenfranchisement among party members could undermine confidence in the process.

He further appealed to party officials at all levels to guarantee a transparent, credible, and equitable primary election, urging APC members across Yobe State to remain vigilant and actively participate in safeguarding the integrity of the exercise.

“The collective interest of the party must, at all times, take precedence over individual ambitions,” Tumsah said.

He affirmed his status as a bona fide and loyal member of the party committed to its ideals and long-term success.

He also urged his supporters across the state to remain focused, law-abiding, and resolute, while reiterating his unwavering commitment to democratic principles, transparency, and internal party cohesion.
