Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL title contenders, Rangers International FC of Enugu have equalled Enyimba FC record on the number of qualifications for the CAF Champions League
Rangers on Sunday booked their ticket to the 2027 Africa’s largest league competition after beating Brendel Insurance 2-1 in the NPFL26 Matchday 37 in Enugu.
The victory handed Rangers their 12 tickets, the same number as Enyimba, who won the Champions League back-to-back in 2003 and 2004.
Rangers and Rivers United who reached the group stage of the 2026 edition of the Champions League will represent Nigeria during the 2026/2027 campaign.
Rangers last participated in the CAF Champions League in 2024 after winning the NPFL the previous year.
