Zamfara Emir urges robust community action on security

Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha, has called on the good people under his domain to pay their unreserved contributions towards ending security challenges as it is everybody’s business.
Emir Ahmad Asha, who made the call during a durbar organized by the emirate at Kaura Namod, in Zamfara State to celebrate the 2026 Eid-El-Kabir, declared that, the fights against security challenges should not be left on the government’s shoulder alone but is everyone’s concern.
The emir opined that, the deployed security personnel could not be everywhere, hence in dire need to acquire intelligence sharing from the good citizens of the host communities with a view to take prompt actions in their quest to safeguarding innocent lives and property.
“It is the expected duty of patriotic citizens to provide security agencies with timely but credible information upon which they would exercise their constitutional duty which is aimed at providing safer and legitimate living”, Emir Asha has advocated.
The emir stressed that his emirate would continue to serve as custodian of history, cultures and collective beliefs, values, customs, behaviors, and artifacts that are passed down from generation to generation as well as the unspoken rules and expectations that govern behaviors of people under the emirate.
In his remarks, Governor Dauda Lawal who was represented by his deputy, Malam Mani Mumuni, said the durbar which organized by Kaura Namoda emirate, is worthy of commendation by the state government as it promotes unity, happiness and the preservation of rich cultural heritage.
The Deputy Governor praised the Emir of Kaura Namoda, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sanusi Ahmad Asha, for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people, particularly in the areas of security, electricity supply, and other critical social amenities.
He noted that, cultural festivals and traditional celebrations such as the Eid Durbar play a significant role in strengthening communal harmony, fostering peaceful coexistence, and preserving the customs and traditions inherited from previous generations.
According to him, such events also provide young people with an opportunity to learn and appreciate their cultural identity and historical heritage.
