Czech champions Slavia Prague have expressed interest in Sporting Lagos youngster John Lucky after the Nigerian forward impressed during a six-week trial with the club.
According to Footy-Africa, Slavia Prague have already contacted Sporting Lagos to communicate their interest in signing the highly rated teenager, who is regarded as one of the academy’s most promising talents.
Lucky has attracted attention with his performances and has drawn comparisons to Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen because of his pace, movement, and attacking style, although he is still in the early stages of his development.
The young striker played a key role in Sporting Lagos Academy’s triumph at the 2024 Gothia Cup, scoring two goals during the competition.
He also enjoyed an impressive 2024 Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) campaign, recording five goal contributions in nine appearances before earning promotion to the club’s senior team.
His emergence continues Sporting Lagos’ reputation for producing exciting young talents.
Fellow academy graduate Linus Zika is also attracting interest from Czech side Sparta Prague, while Seun Akanji recently secured a transfer to Norwegian club Lillestrøm.
Although Slavia Prague have yet to submit a formal bid, the Czech champions are expected to continue monitoring Lucky as they assess the possibility of completing a future transfer.
