The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Pantami Ward, Gombe Local Government Area of Gombe State, Bala Salihu Ngalda, has stepped down from his position and resigned his membership of the party.

Ngalda announced his decision in a resignation letter dated July 27, 2026, addressed to the ward party secretary, stating that his exit takes immediate effect after consultations with his family.

He expressed appreciation to the APC leadership at the ward, local government, state and national levels for the opportunity to serve, while also thanking the Gombe State Government for the support he received during his tenure.

The former ward chairman, however, did not disclose the reason behind his resignation or reveal his next political move, including whether he plans to join another political party.

While announcing his departure from the APC, Ngalda said he would continue to respect the party and its ideals, wishing the organisation continued progress and success.

His resignation comes as political activities continue to intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with parties working to strengthen their structures and retain key stakeholders.
