The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has moved to strengthen its political machinery in Kebbi State ahead of the 2027 governorship election with the appointment of former Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sani Tadurga, as Director-General of its Campaign Council.
Tadurga’s appointment was approved by the party’s governorship candidate, Abubakar Malami, SAN, after consultations with key stakeholders across the state.
The development signals the ADC’s effort to put an experienced political figure with legislative and grassroots experience at the centre of its campaign operations as the 2027 contest draws closer.
The party also constituted a broader campaign leadership structure covering the state’s three senatorial districts.
Arc. Bala Sani Kangiwa was appointed Deputy Director-General for Kebbi North, while Hon. Shehu Aliyu Sambawa will coordinate the Kebbi Central district. Alh. Aliyu Jibrin Bagaruwa was named Deputy Director-General for Kebbi South.
Barr. Aminu Bunza was appointed Secretary of the Kebbi State Campaign Council.
The ADC said the appointments were designed to create a more effective campaign structure and improve coordination among its supporters across the state.
According to the party, the new campaign officials are expected to deploy their political experience, organizational capacity and grassroots networks to mobilize voters and advance the party’s objectives ahead of the 2027 elections.
The party also charged the appointees to work collectively and demonstrate commitment and dedication as political activities intensify across Kebbi State.
With the campaign council now taking shape, the ADC appears set to move from preliminary political mobilization to a more structured statewide campaign strategy in its bid to challenge the established political forces in Kebbi ahead of 2027.
