Former Sokoto State Governor and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has met with the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd.), to seek increased security measures and operational resources for communities affected by insecurity in the state.

Tambuwal was accompanied by the member representing Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Deputy Minority Leader, Abdussamad Dasuki, during the meeting.

The delegation raised concerns over persistent security challenges, particularly in Kebbe Local Government Area and Kaya community in Tambuwal Local Government Area.

Tambuwal, in a statement shared on his X account, said the meeting provided an opportunity to present the concerns of residents directly to the Defence Minister and call for urgent measures to protect lives and property.
