From Bashir Rabe Mani in Sokoto
As Muslims across Nigeria and around the world commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, had urged Nigerians to reject division, intolerance and violence.
In a message on Sunday, Yilwatda extended his warmest felicitations to the Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians, saying that the Eid-ul-Mawlid should remind all of “the timeless virtues exemplified by the Prophet.
“At this challenging moment in our national journey, these values offer us a pathway to healing, unity and renewed hope.
“I urge Nigerians to see our diversity not as a weakness, but as a source of strength. As we approach another electoral season, we must reject division, intolerance and violence. No political contest should destroy the bonds of brotherhood and national unity that bind us together.
“I call on the Muslim Ummah to use this blessed occasion to pray for lasting peace, security, prosperity and wisdom for our leaders. Despite our challenges, Nigeria remains a nation of immense talent, resilience and promise.
“May Almighty Allah accept our prayers, bless our families and communities, protect Nigeria and guide our leaders with wisdom and courage.”
I wish the Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians a peaceful, joyful and spiritually rewarding Eid-ul-Maulud.
