The International Symposium on Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (ISRT) 2026 is set to bring together leading experts in cancer care, nuclear medicine and precision medicine from Africa and other parts of the world.
The two-day symposium is scheduled for August 28–29, 2026, at Loveworld Medical Centre, Lagos, with participants expected from Nigeria, South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Germany, India and the United States.
The event will focus on recent developments in radiopharmaceutical therapy, molecular imaging, radioligand therapy, theragnostics, radiopharmacy and precision cancer treatment.
Organisers said the symposium would combine scientific presentations with hands-on workshops, clinical case discussions and multidisciplinary sessions designed to promote knowledge sharing and professional development.
The programme will also examine how advanced cancer treatment technologies can be sustainably introduced and expanded across African healthcare systems.
A key focus of ISRT 2026 is strengthening local capacity through education, workforce development, international partnerships, technology transfer and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
The symposium is hosted by Loveworld Medical Centre as part of the Loveworld Ministry of Healing, Health and Social Services’ efforts to promote access to advanced medical knowledge, innovation and partnerships in Africa.
Organisers said the event would provide an opportunity for African healthcare professionals to engage with international experts and explore new approaches to improving cancer diagnosis, treatment and patient outcomes.
