Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA have recovered and neutralized explosive devices planted by terrorists to cause major havoc to commuters along Magami – Hannutara- Dansadau road in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State
The troops acting on credible information secured the affected area and conducted a thorough search and identified 2 spots planted with explosive devices.
An Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was able to destroy one of the explosive device and safely recovered and rendered another harmless.
The Sector said its troops have intensified patrols and surveillance in the area to safeguard residents and prevent further threats.
It advised members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious objects or activities to the nearest security agency.
