The allowance covers supervision duties executed across an expansive institutional network encompassing 9 faculties, 35 departments, and a total of 3,021 students placed across various industrial organizations, institutions, and government ministries nationwide
The Coordinator, SIWES Unit of the University, Dr. AbdulJalal Musa Aliyu commended the Vice Chancellor for the prompt disbursement of the allowance and his “steadfast backing of
practical students training”.

In a related development, the University Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) Unit has facilitated the validation and vetting of logbooks for the 2021 cohort of SIWES students.
The rigorous academic and administrative exercise took place at the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Area Office, Katsina, running from Friday, October 2 to Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
According to the unit, the seamless execution of the exercise was made possible by the commitment of the Vice Chancellor, who graciously approved all necessary conditions and
requirements stipulated by the ITF Headquarters in Jos.
“This prompt administrative backing ensured that all logistical hurdles were cleared, enabling the SIWES Unit to effectively coordinate the verification process in strict alignment with national industrial training standards.
“The successful validation marks a vital milestone for the 2021 set of students, clearing the path for the formal authentication of their practical industrial training experiences.”
